Cause sometimes you feel tired, feel weak, and when you feel weak, you feel like you wanna just give up. But you gotta search within you, you gotta find that inner strength and just pull that stuff out of you and get that motivation to not give up and not be a quitter, no matter how bad you wanna just fall flat on your face and collapse.” ~ Eminem

One way to keep momentum going is to have constantly greater goals.”

It is not of importance where we stand, but in what direction we are moving.”

Between you and every goal that you wish to achieve, there is a series of obstacles, and the bigger the goal, the bigger the obstacles. Your decision to be, have and do something out of the ordinary entails facing difficulties and challenges that are out of the ordinary as well. Sometimes your greatest asset is simply your ability to stay with it longer than anyone else.”~ Brian Tracy

It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop. ” ~ Confucius

This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill, Fifteen percent concentrated power of will, Five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain, And a hundred percent reason to remember the name!” ~ Fort Minor lyrics

Running the Chicago Marathon for Team LUNGevity!

I am very excited to announce that I will be running the Chicago Marathon in October for Team LUNGevity – to help increase awareness and fund research for lung cancer.  A disease that is seriously underfunded,  misunderstood – and even stigmatized.

About 6 years ago my dad  was diagnosed with advanced stage lung cancer, he never smoked. Our family was blindsided.  He lived for only 18 months after diagnoses.  Prior to his diagnosis he was an above average healthy and active man.  He was only 59 when he died.

I am here to advocate for better early detection methods and treatment options – so no one has to die from lung cancer.
I have set a goal to raise at least $1000 for this cause. And, I’m hoping you are willing to help support me in my efforts.  I would like to invite you to please take a moment to check out my personal fundraising page here:
The Statistics:
  • Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death, regardless of gender or ethnicity.
  • Lung cancer impacts one in 14 Americans and kills more than breast, prostate, colon, ovarian, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and melanoma cancers combined.
  • More Americans die each year of lung cancer than of colon, breast, pancreatic, and prostate cancers combined.
  • Lung cancer kills almost two times as many women as does breast cancer. Lung cancer kills more than three times as many men as does prostate cancer.
  • About 65% of all new lung cancer diagnoses are among people who have never smoked or are former smokers.
  • Lung cancer accounts for 15% of all new cancer diagnoses but 28% of all cancer deaths.
